About Dr. van der Linde

Dr. Janelle van der Linde is a registered psychological associate with specialized training in providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention, focusing on trauma, mood disorders, and distress related to emotional grief, loss, relationship conflict, parent-child attachment, illness, infertility, adoption, and difficult life transitions.

Using a warm, compassionate approach, Dr. van der Linde uses an integrative approach in providing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic, and narrative therapy. She supports clients in identifying and relating to their internal self to ease emotional distress while reinforcing strengths based change and the discovery of true hope and resilience.

Dr. van der Linde completed accredited American Psychological Association (APA) internships across the Bay area, including Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC), Lifemoves, and StarVista. She brings experience working with diverse individuals and families in community, crisis-residential and school environments.

During her training, Janelle has conducted neuropsychological assessments for individuals across the lifespan. She has provided comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and interventions for various conditions associated with anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, trauma, PTSD, cognitive and developmental disorders, autism spectrum, ADHD, and gender dysphoria.

Background

Dr. van der Linde holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in Silicon Valley, California. Before embarking on a career in clinical psychology, Dr. van der Linde worked in clinical research developing oncologic and immunologic biologics, which have since become the standard of care. She served in various professional roles, including Director of Strategic Planning and Clinical Research Operations/Business Director of the Oncology Unit at Genentech. She also holds a Master of Arts in Health Administration.

Dr. van der Linde is an unlicensed psychologist completing her postdoctoral hours toward licensure. She is currently under the supervision of Dr. Aileen Garibyan (PSY22856), a clinical psychologist at the Rowan Center for Behavioral Medicine.
