Dr. Tabibian is a licensed health psychologist who specializes in the delivery of evidenced-based treatments, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  She also has formal training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which she has delivered seminars on.  Dr. Tabibian integrates a collaborative and supportive therapeutic approach, prioritizing patient needs and goals during treatment.  She is a proponent of patient education and empowering patients to obtain health and wellness by achieving a better understanding of thought processes, behaviors, relationships, and life circumstances.

Dr. Tabibian has been licensed in three different states including CA, MN, and PA and has received extensive specialized training with patients in the medical setting including, but not limited to, obesity and behavioral weight management, smoking cessation, chronic pain, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, behavioral spells, problems with pregnancy and infertility, and various chronic disorders.  Dr. Tabibian also treats a wide range of psychological conditions, including anxiety and mood difficulties.


Dr. Tabibian received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, CA. She completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at Canvas Health in Minneapolis, and subsequent to her internship and Ph.D, she completed a two-year APA-accredited post-doctoral fellowship in adult clinical health psychology at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  She has extensive research and clinical experience in health psychology, having specialized in obesity and binge eating disorder, behavioral weight management, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other gastrointestinal ailments, women’s health, and an array of psychological and behavioral factors contributing to medical conditions. Additionally, she specializes in anxiety disorders (e.g., health anxiety, panic disorder, generalized and social anxiety disorder), OCD, phobias, life changes causing adjustment difficulties, marital difficulties, and mood disorders.

Dr. Tabibian also has various research publications and has presented at national and international conferences.  She also has an interest in training and supervision and has provided individual and group supervision to Marriage and Family Therapy Program students and psychological seminars to medical students and residents.
