Will Rowan Center Accept My Insurance?
The Rowan Center team realizes that navigating your mental health benefits can be confusing, which is why we are committed to partnering with you to assist you in understanding the coverage you may have available.
When you contact our office to make an appointment, we will ask you for your insurance information. Prior to your first appointment, we will contact your insurance company to obtain details about the benefits that are available for the services that we offer. At your first appointment, we will review your particular benefit plan and give you information about how your insurance can be used to cover services. We will also review a copy of our Financial Policy, which provides an overview of our billing and payment policies as well as an overview of the types of coverage that are offered by different insurance plans.
In many cases we are able to process claims directly with your insurance company. We also offer the option to provide a document called a "superbill" that summarizes the information required to submit a request for reimbursement to your insurance company on your own, if you so desire.
If you prefer to contact your insurance company on your own prior to your appointment, please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover for a psychologist?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network psychologist?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session with a psychologist?
Does Rowan Center have an appointment cancellation policy?
If a cancellation for your appointment is required, you are required to notify the office at least 24 hours in advance or you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Read more about our cancellation policy.
What forms of payment does Rowan Center accept?
Cash, check and credit card are accepted for payment. Payment is due at each session.
Should I fill out any forms before visiting Rowan Center?
Your psychologist will be in contact with you regarding forms that are available for completion prior to your session.
Are my sessions confidential and will my privacy be protected?
Protecting your privacy is federal law and is important in the creating a trusting relationship with your provider. Rowan Center is HIPAA compliant and takes additional measures to make sure your privacy is carefully guarded. There are, however, certain conditions under which we are legally mandated to report information. Your provider will discuss the privacy policies with you at your first appointment. You will also receive a written copy of the privacy policies.
